Nerd + Activist = L<3VE

I always say it's funny how things workout when it comes to Nathan and I. We both went to Morse High School and graduated the same year, but never ever interacted. We've always just remembered each other's faces, but Nathan said he remembered my smile the most. . Aww. hahah.

It wasn't until years later that we were officially introduced by our close mutual friend, Ley. We had a bbq gathering by the beach summer 2009 and that's when we first started to get to know each other while trying to learn how to play volleyball. From there, Ley schemed to help get us together and surprised me w/ a bday present trip to Disney on that Labor Day weekend. We spent the day there w/ our friend Pam and later that evening, Nathan drove up to surprise me to spend the 2nd day w/ us at California Adventures. From then on, our lives have been filled with many great adventures ever since.

We officialy got engaged October 12, 2011 at home in San Diego, but Nathan re-proposed w/ the ring during our first cruise trip to the Bahamas for our great friends Kristin & Matt's wedding (We got the idea to have a cruise wedding from them w/ the fun we had! heh).

Funny cause we were mostly late for the events on the cruise, but when it came to purchasing the ring, we were an hour early before the store opened for it's sale. Hah!

That Tuesday morning, the store provided champagne for everyone and we were excited to finish the transaction. We browsed around for a bit and took pictures and an old lady even said we were an adorable couple as we were taking pictures & offered to take a picture of us.

As Nathan was signing papers, I was browsing around the other items they had. When I turned back around to him, I see him get down on one knee and right there and then, in the middle of the store, he asked me to marry him. Everyone around us started noticing and the same old lady that took our picture started crying. She kept saying "Many many years of happiness" to us.

Of course, I said yes again and we were very elated and still are to this day. From then on, we kept getting congratulatory remakrs the rest of the trip. And now, we are looking forward to the wedding and the many many years of happiness as it was wished upon us.
